- Support clients in connecting to their physical sensations, body-based narratives, and intuitive wisdom as part of the therapeutic process.
- Conduct psychological assessments and co-create personalized, integrative treatment plans.
- Stay current with emerging research in somatic psychology, mind-body interventions, and holistic healing.
Qualifications:
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology.
- Training and clinical experience in at least one somatic modality (e.g., Somatic Experiencing®, Hakomi, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy®, polyvagal-informed work).
- Strong grounding in trauma-informed and client-centered approaches.
- Interest in complementary therapies such as mindfulness, natural medicine, breathwork, or energy psychology.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
- Certification or advanced training in somatic modalities.
- Knowledge of or collaboration with complementary health practices (e.g., functional nutrition, yoga therapy, herbal medicine).
- Experience (or interest in) running body-based workshops or group therapy sessions.
- Comfort working in a practice that embraces both modern science and traditional healing traditions.
What We Offer:
- A warm, inclusive, and body-aware clinical environment.
- Flexibility to build your caseload around your niche and preferred modalities.
- Access to a steady stream of aligned referrals seeking somatic and holistic care.
- Beautiful therapy rooms designed to support somatic work and nervous system safety.
- Full administrative and marketing support.
- Opportunity to co-create integrative programs, groups, or retreats.
