**Now Hiring: Safety Codes Officer II - Building (#25-78)**
Parkland County has an opportunity for a _permanent, full-time _Safety Codes Officer II - Building position in the Planning & Development Services department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Safety Codes Services, the Safety Codes Officer II - Building conducts preliminary plan and document reviews, issues building permits, and inspects building construction and mechanical systems for compliance. This position is also responsible for completion of written inspection reports and entering inspection records into the permit and inspection system. Additionally, this role, acts as the liaison to industry, the public and staff.
- Post-secondary diploma or trade certificate in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certificate of Competency as a Building Safety Codes Officer Group A, Level 3 and Group B, Level 3.
- Excellent coordination, work scheduling and time management skills.
- Written and verbal communication in terminology that can be readily understood by the applicants based on their level of industry knowledge.
- Proficiency in the use of computer systems and programs such as Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and GIS Software.
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
**The total rewards package for this position includes**:
A starting annual salary of $99,500 to $107,600 with a maximum earning potential for this pay range of $125,900, based on a 35-hour work week and option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
