We are a family-owned food producer, processor, and accomodation provider looking to develop healing programs through nutrition and various other resources. We believe in offering our clients a full range of services to achieve optimum health.

Nutrition Interns will work in areas from creation of sustainable agriculture under an innovative, community-focused scope of operation to holistic menu development for clients and hospital patients.

**Responsibilities**:
Assist with menu development

Manage procurement and product inventory: includes food production, sourcing, receiving, storing, and distribution,

Conduct appropriately field nutrition-related surveys

Development of cooking demos and food sampling events

Develop educational materials and team talks for clients and hospital patients

Assist in micronutrient testing protocols

Examine and translate scientific research related to nutrition, athletic performance and dietary supplements

Perform various administrative duties

Perform additional tasks as assigned by staff

Gather resources for neighborhood based farmers’ markets and food providers;
Help implement training related to supermarkets, farmer’s markets, food labels, and food preparation;
Help maintain professionalism and cleanliness of work areas.

**Requirements**:
A strong passion for, and knowledge of, food and nutrition issues

Must be customer services oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients.

Bachelor’s degree or course work in food and nutrition dietetics or public health nutrition.in related field preferred

Demonstrated experience with community organizing and engagement, particularly with local communities and related to food justice or health, an asset

Strong leadership, communication, writing, presentation, facilitation and organizational skills required

A flexible schedule and ability travel an asset
