ICS is a part of Baker Hughes’ division for Climate Technology Solutions, innovating and developing the next generation of carbon capture utilization and storage technologies for product offerings across the energy industry.

As a Lab Technician, you will be supporting our pilot plant operations and be responsible for assisting in sampling of analysis of process samples, including operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

As Lab Technician, you will be responsible for:

- Calibrating, operating, maintaining, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Preparing reagents and calibration standards as required for analysis
- Collecting and analyzing production samples throughout the plant and equipment
- Compiling, verifying, and validating accurate data records, including maintenance of daily logs and logbooks
- Participating in the development and maintenance of SOPs as well as other laboratory related documents
- Maintaining laboratory consumable and chemical inventory and general maintenance duties to maintain the cleanliness of laboratory equipment and workspace.
- Communicating testing results and provide troubleshooting suggestions to Operations

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a Science Technical Diploma or BSc in Chemistry or equivalent.
- Have 1 - 3 years experience in the use of laboratory equipment such as Gas Chromatograph, Viscometer Tensiometer, pH/Conductivity Meters, Titrators, and Raman Spectrometer
- Have basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for laboratory equipment and associated chemistries.
- Have excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Be able to work well independently with mínimal supervision and within a team.
- Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
