At Front Row, we insure the entertainment industry. We have 60 employees spread across offices in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Nashville. As a progressive and growing insurance brokerage, we have a newly created CFO position available effective immediately working out of either our Toronto or Vancouver offices. As Chief Financial Officer you will be a member of the senior management team and will work collaboratively to propel the organization forward and increase profitability. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing finance and accounting, and developing financial policies, practices, systems and procedures for the company.

**Salary**
- $100,000. to $150,000. per year

**Your Responsibilities and Duties**
- Develop and monitor objectives for the financial department
- Create policies that allow the company to work in the most organized way
- Manage and oversee all financial affairs for the organization
- Ensure compliance with government regulators
- Supervise all finance personnel
- Manage vendor relationships
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
- Oversee and improve the company’s finance IT system
- Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
- Monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Inter-company transactions
- Account reconciliation reviews and preparation of financial statements
- Lead and mentor a team of five
- Maintain the chart of accounts, recommending updates and changes
- Liaise with various internal and external customers including tax authorities, banks, employees and others to deliver on time and accurate information
- External review requests, including preparation & review of supporting year end schedules & liaison with the outside accountants
- Oversee payroll function
- Provide support to the HR department
- Various other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.

**Your Education + Experience**
- You must have a university degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Accounting Designation required (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- You have 5 or more years of experience in leadership positions within a company’s financial department.
- Experience in the insurance industry is as asset.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
