Since opening in 2016 nutbar has built a cult-like following of superfoodies obsessed with our homemade nutmilk, superfood focused menu and feel-good atmosphere. **Position Summary**: Join nutbar, a growing superfood cafe dedicated to showcasing the finest nutrient-rich, organic foods. As a dishwasher and kitchen help, you'll support our Summerhill store operations alongside of our kitchen and store manager. Your role requires responsibility, working in kitchen day to day with the kitchen team, communication with the team and the store manager on a daily basis, problem solving and organizational skills. Embrace our mission and values of nurturing a healthy mind and body through an enriching cafe experience. **Your Responsibilities**: - Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently - Keeping dish and prep areas clean and organized - Supporting kitchen staff with cleaning duties - Maintaining sanitation and safety standards - Helping with waste and recycling procedures - Helping to the team putting away deliveries - Maintaining cleanliness all around the kitchen **nutbar is a plant based cafe with predominantly raw, vegan menu items** **Qualification** - Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols and taking direct actions to maintain the standards - Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently - Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment - Able to follow instructions and health & safety procedures - Ability to multitask and stay organized - Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus but **not required**: - Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. - Ability to lift over 20 lbs is required. - Applicants without legal permission to work in Canada will not be considered.
