Your future role on our team

BBA has a team of more than 70 multidisciplinary professionals in its Québec City office. Our team members work closely with their colleagues in the Greater Montréal area and in BBA's regional offices (Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Sept-Îles and Labrador City), mainly in the natural resources and renewable energy sectors.

We're seeking a leader to serve as Department Manager, Automation, Process Control and Operational Technology. You'll report to the Québec City officer director and will help achieve BBA's strategic objectives. You'll be responsible for managing the department's human, financial and material resources and overseeing the implementation of activities to achieve BBA's business plan and reach operational efficiency objectives.

**As department manager, you'll be required to**:
Lead a growing department in automation, instrumentation, process control and operational technologies.
Coordinate departmental activities, including preparing preliminary studies, detailed design, technical drawings as well as programing and configuration, while ensuring adequate planning of resources in terms of technical quality and productivity.
Actively participate in developing and carrying out the annual operational plan.
Promote creativity and innovation in your department's methods to maintain a high level of quality.
Manage the department's operations, in collaboration with managers from other BBA departments and offices.
Oversee the recruitment and hiring of qualified personnel.
Establish training and development activities for members of your department and support them.
Structure business development initiatives for the department.
Help prepare and produce proposals, studies, reports, plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
Take on a health, safety and environment leadership role.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

Over 10 years of experience in consulting engineering, including 5 years in personnel management, or equivalent experience
More than 10 years of experience in designing, integrating or supporting technological solutions (automated systems, advanced control, data management)
University degree or college diploma in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control or Computer Science
Relevant knowledge and experience in the mining and metals, industrial or renewable energy markets
French mandatory and functional English required
