**Job summary**

Our after-school educational program is seeking energetic and talented teachers in Math for high school students. We tailor our curriculum for the needs of students to reach their full potential. We are looking for enthusiastic tutors to deliver our curriculum, evolving with your input. You will work with individual students one-on-one and in group classes.

**Teaching responsibilities**
- Meet students at our tutor office in Kerrisdale, Vancouver
- Teach Math 4 - 7, 8 - 12, AP Calculus
- Deliver a pre-designed curriculum, employing proven study aides
- Assign and mark additional homework assignments
- Administer mock tests and perform regular assessments of student performance
- Record student performance for follow-up and progress report
- Collaborate with the program director to improve the curriculum and ensure the delivery method best suits the student

**Qualifications and skills**
- Masters degree in relevant field (e.g. Computer Sciences / Physics / Math / Education), and/or BC Teaching Certification
- 5+ years of experience tutoring math
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Familiar with BC and AP curricula
- Enthusiastic and flexible in teaching methods that promote the well-being of students

**Employment status**

This position involves tutoring in a self-employed capacity. The number of hours may vary per week and per student, with no guaranteed minimum number of hours.
