Shipper/receiver

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensures orders are stable, properly labeled and packaged as per approved SOPs to avoid damage.
- All orders are to be picked accurately and timely to meet scheduled delivery times.
- Incoming shipments are to be sorted and distributed as required.
- Follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedure and complete all required Shipping & Receiving documentation accurately.
- Verify shipments received against POs and verify orders and corresponding paperwork is accurate prior to sending out.
- Investigate discrepancies for any missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
- Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas.
- Assists the Operations Manager in planning and organizing warehouse activities relating to Shipping & Receiving, transportation, receiving returns, order filling, inventory control, and storage.
- Implement corrective action and process improvements when and where appropriate.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Inspect and ensure that carriers/equipment used to load or unload goods are clean, and do not pose a food safety hazard.
- Ensure Food Safe requirements and SOPs are followed at all times.
- Must operate warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Ensures that any individual (internal or external) coming into the department are trained on and follow the appropriate health and safety policies and procedures.
- Reports observations of any deviation to the process/procedure or a defect.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts.
- Reports any damage to warehouse equipment and property immediately.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 year’s experience in warehouse environment driving a forklift.
- Certified forklift operator for sit-down counterbalance.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Highly advanced organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Working knowledge and understanding of quality management.
- Motivated & self starter.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills - both verbally and in writing
- Good mathematic skills

**Working Conditions**:

- Works in refrigerated environment
- Permanent, full time, day shift position
- CSA approved safety shoes/ boots required.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
