Truck Driver

We are seeking two AZ-licensed drivers for routes within Ontario and Quebec. Requirements are as follows:
- Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer, long-combination vehicle and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 kg up to 90000kg to transport goods and materials over long and short distances
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals and brakes
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods
- Ensure cargo is tarped and protected when necessary
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books
- Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices
- May perform emergency roadside repairs
- May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Driver will be returning to factory daily in most cases but may have to stay overnight in some rare situations.
- As this is a full time position of 40hrs per week, should there not be enough driving hours, general work in the galvanizing factory shall be done to top up hours at the same rate.
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
