As part of our team, you will:
CORE IMS Engineer
- Serving as an interface between the remote Nokia team and Customer.
- Providing oversight and coordination of the Nokia responsibilities.
- Being the primary Nokia interface to the Customer operations team.
- Providing a periodic Nokia activity report.
- Ensuring that connectivity is established between the Customer facility and the Nokia NOC.
- Providing practical OTJ training and mentoring on operating the defined CNE:
- Learning by Hearing.
- Learning by Watching.
- Learning by Doing.
- Participating with Customer in the diagnosis and remediation of network issues that involve defined CNE.
- Drawing up a defect sheet, establishing a report, and updating the logbook for the system location before the end of the service.
- Conveying Nokia recommendations to Customer concerning tuning of the management mechanism(s).
- Providing advice for the cloud operations related decision making for in scope network elements.
- Assisting Customer O & M staff to carry out tasks and activities related to day-to-day Operations at NOC and
- Adhering to Customer environmental & safety regulations while on premises.
**Your skills and experience**
You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 9+ years of work experience in related field
- Extensive experience providing end - to - end support with Nokia's solutions
- In - depth knowledge and experience working with CBIS Open stack Cloud, Cloud Orchestration, VMware, OpenStack IMS VNFs (including Application Server, CSCFS, MRF, and ENUM), SBC, and CS Core Nodes (MSS / MGW).
- IMS core nodes (such as CBIS, TAS, CFX, MRF, ENUM, and SBC), CS core nodes (MSS, MGW, and HLR), Open Stack Cloud, and VMware.
- Leading a team to manage service, customer handling, project transition to GDC (Global Delivery Center) and stabilization, onsite customer support, and configuration / fault management of IMS core nodes.
- Experience with installation, commissioning, and integration of MSS, MGW, and GMSC.
- Experience with pre-launch testing and RA testing, in - roamer, POI configuration with other operators, CDR verification, and validation (AT).
- Expertise with the following proprietary tools and frameworks:
- Nokia ' s IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Core products
- Nokia ' s IMS CFX
- Nokia ' s CloudBand Infrastructure Software (CBIS)
- Nokia ' s Session Border Controller (SBC)
