Job description

Job Title: Housekeeper
Department: Housekeeping

Job Purpose: To perform a combination of tasks which maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:
1.
- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify managers of necessary repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Assist guests when necessary.
- Keep linen room stocked.
- Properly clean upholstered furniture.

2. Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
3. Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
4. Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with
appropriate supplies for shift.
5. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
6. Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:
1. Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
2. Understand simple instructions.
3. Learn simple procedures and techniques.
4. Perform routine work or the same task over and over again.

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leduc, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- Hotel Housekeepers: 1 year (preferred)
