**Report to: Cashier Supervisor**

**Responsibility/Main Job Tasks**:

- Ensure that customers are greeted and receive excellent customer service in a friendly environment
- Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services
- Making sure and double check no errors in processing payment, such as double check amount to ensure data entry is correct
- Involves use of electronics scanners, cash registers, or related equipment
- Processing credit and debit card transactions and validating
- Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures or policies
- Ensure all customer know about the refund and exchange policies
- Bag, wrap product for customer
- Count money in cash drawers to ensure that amounts are correct
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
- Maintain sufficient amounts of change in cash drawer
- Recognize and monitor security issues
- Working with MS office, customer databases, inventory and POS systems
- Assists in the implementation of company’s marketing plans as needed
- Complete understanding of Chef’s Depot policy and procedures
- Ensure the store’s environment is kept clean and well maintained at all times
- Help with merchandising and stocking of inventory
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Specifications**:

- 1-2 years of experience as a cashier
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise which entails lifting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
- Work requires willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
