**Job Description**:
Geographical area of responsibility will be Western Canada.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drives and secures product specifications at target end users and engineering (EPC) firms
- Provides proactive project management to direct accounts, end users, and engineering or design organizations
- Supports representatives and distributors as a technical resource to help create demand for Sprecher+Schuh products
- Provides field market intelligence; e.g., competitive information and market or industry trends
- Maintains and develops new business development opportunities
- Provides technical training, “Lunch and Learns” as well as road show demonstrations
- Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
- Ensures thorough familiarity with and actively adheres to all Environmental and Safety and Security Policies and performs their duties in accordance with those policies
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering or Marketing preferred) or related sales and technical experience
- Broad based understanding of industrial processes, controls and how automation equipment functions
- Ability to evaluate electrical drawings, prints, schematics and specifications and to cross reference competitive products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work independently on day-to-day work
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines the process by which to meet goals
- Experience working with industrial distribution and manufacturer representatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of equivalent experience
- Travel minimum 50% and as required
