This position will only be filled by a fully qualified ECE. We are not hiring ECEA's at this time. We are looking for a team player, that wants to continue to learn and be a part of an amazing team. You must have your ECE certification and be very familiar with the Early Learning Framework. If you do not meet these requirements, you will not be contacted. This is a temporary maternity leave position until June 30 2026 or August 31 2026. This will depend on availability for the staff to return with their child accessing childcare. There is always a possibility of full time after, but no guarantee. We provide single health and dental coverage which is 100% employer paid, 12 paid sick days a year, a paid week off between Christmas and New Year, random staff lunches paid by the employer, and the best group of people ever to work with. We also have a staff break room available for lunch breaks, or you are able to leave the premises for your break. We are licensed for 12 infants and toddlers and 25 three to five year olds. We also have 5 fully qualified staff per program. The shift length is 9 hours, with a 1 hour unpaid break time. We don't do drama We have long term staff that work so well together, and support each other through everything. We are flexible and accommodating and our motto is "We will make it work" You need to be comfortable following the child's lead when it comes to planning and you must love being outside We spend more time outside than in, and anything we can do inside, we can do outside. If you are not willing to be outside in all types of weather, then this is not the place for you. Our children love being outside, going for walks through the forest, or going to the local park to run and play. We are not an "academic" childcare centre, but rather one that focusses on the whole child and helping them to gain confidence, self esteem, and leadership skills. We do not do "programming" but rather create experiences based on the children's interests. **Summary** As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Reporting to the program supervisor, your role involves implementing educational activities that promote development and learning. Core skills such as communication and being a team player are expected. Your organizational skills and ability to "go with the flow" will support all the children in your group, thereby ensuring a positive experience for both children and families.
