**Live In - Maintenance Technician**

**Reports to: Property Manager/ Senior Maintenance Technician**

**Location**:Toronto, ON

**Position Summary**:

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the operations team responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings and grounds. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, condition, safety, and safety of the assigned location. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for the provision of maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.

**This role requires that the maintenance technician lives on site. **

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Professionally and courteously handle all inquiries, feedback, complaints or concerns.
- Ensure a high level of resident relations is maintained through regular contact and proactive attention to resident needs
- Meet and interact with residents and prospective residents in a courteous and professional manner
- Promote a strong sense of community
- Answer and direct all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Liaise with property management team and subcontractors to resolve maintenance issues as expeditiously as possible
- Responsible for site maintenance, repairs, property upkeep and cleaning
- Minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs
- Oversees the interior and exterior maintenance and repairs, landscaping and painting, electrical and plumbing systems, windows, doors, elevators and floors.
- Oversee all property management responsibilities including coverage, cleaning, repairs and maintenance
- Establishes relationships with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and all others serving the community and company
- Respond to after-hours emergencies
- Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
- Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC
- Complete other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 3-5 years of experience in Property Management
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

A passion for excellence in customer service delivery
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented; ability to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense
- Self-starter with high degree of initiative, creativity and flexibility

Work Location: In person

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
