Critical Incident Response

Registered Social Worker or Psychotherapist

Thunder Bay, Ontario

Schedule: Occasional, contract basis

The Opportunity:
An independent contract supporting our TELUS Health Critical Incident Affiliate Network. This role provides crisis management support in the immediate aftermath of a traumatic worksite or community event.

Your responsibilities will be:
- Provide workplace trauma response and organizational crisis management services as required, on a case by case basis- Perform a preliminary assessment of the situation in the workplace or site, and offer coaching and support to managers/leaders;- Implement post-traumatic intervention by interacting with internal and external clients and affiliated professionals;- Provide supervision and consultation to stakeholders when requested;- Manage the administrative needs of trauma support services;- Travel onsite to provide debriefing, defusing or support interventions.

Qualifications:
- Masters in Social Work, Counselling, or other health related field;- Member in good standing with OCSWSSW or CRPO;- Minimum (2) two years post-grad workplace crisis management experience;- Professional liability insurance coverage;- Training in Crisis Intervention Stress Management (CISM);- Experience providing group counselling/ debriefing/ defusing is a must;- Good knowledge of different work environments and organizational structure with ability to support a corporate client consultation;- Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset;- Flexible schedule.
