Are you passionate about supporting youth on their journey to adulthood? Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pictou County is seeking a **Youth Outreach Worker** to provide strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive support to youth aged 12-26. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work **alongside our current Youth Outreach Worker** to build trusting relationships, coordinate referrals, and deliver one-on-one and group-based programming in collaboration with community partners.

**What You'll Do**:

- Engage youth through outreach, support, and advocacy
- Conduct needs assessments and help connect youth to services
- Deliver developmentally appropriate activities and workshops
- Maintain accurate records and follow up with youth
- Collaborate with community organizations to strengthen support networks
- Work as part of a supportive team to reach more youth across the region

**What You Bring**:

- **REQUIRED: Post-secondary education in a human services field**:

- Experience working with youth, outreach, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to build trust and respond sensitively to trauma, identity, and culture
- Valid driver’s license **and access to a reliable, insured vehicle**

**Assets**:

- CPR/First Aid & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
- Proficiency in digital tools and case management systems

**Flexible schedule and travel throughout Pictou County required.**
**Police and child abuse registry clearance mandatory.**

Pay: $23.00-$25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
