Delivery Driver

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles, including basic automotive repairs as needed.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading.
**Requirements**:
- Valid commercial driver's license G or G2 (preferred; must have a clean driving record.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus, as it will aid in vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification may be required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing delivery schedules.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as required during deliveries.
- Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.
