**Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager - On-site: Mississauga, ON**

We are looking for a Food Safety & Quality Manager that is excited to join our team and motivated by enhancing food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager will partner closely with our Supply Chain and Brand teams to assist with the key food safety programs, supplier management and quality management programs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for maintaining supplier data to drive supplier compliance and ensure records are current.
- Drive and develop supplier quality monitoring program and supplier KPI’s scorecard reports.
- Oversees the strategy, development, implementation, and execution of all quality assurance and food safety programs throughout the entire supply chain.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments including ingredient and process hazard analysis.
- In the Food Safety area for restaurants, oversee the strategy, development, implementation, communications, and training of field based and operators along with the execution of programs to support food safety and protection of the guest, employees, and our brand standards.
- Responsible for defining and continuously upgrading QA processes and standards to assess and mitigate the food safety and quality risk of all products
- Manage the approval and monitoring of all food and packaging suppliers for Foodtastic Brands
- Ensure all products comply with company standards on quality, food safety, nutrition, and sustainability.
- Food Crisis management for the Brands, including interaction with regulatory agencies
- Manage, engage, and develop field team and extended support team
- Work together with Marketing, Product Innovation, Brand Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the prompt launch of new products as per the marketing calendar.
- Commit and deliver on approval times.
- Investigate quality complaints and conduct root cause analysis.
- Responsible for conducting CAPA investigation and closure for third party audits and
- regulatory inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement of Foodtastic supplier expectation standards to assure compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations.
- Schedule and conduct supplier audits to drive compliance and assign appropriate supplier category risk level.
- Create and update Brand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Use continuous improvement tools to drive supplier quality and understand points of inefficiency.
- Manage mock traceability exercises and recall testing programs.
- Manage regulatory readiness
- Update and guide the food safety program.
- Identify areas for process improvement changes through analysis and process review.
- Collects all metrics for supplier and product approval and quality performance in a Supplier Quality scorecard and Report to the brand Leadership team and peers at the new product's multidisciplinary teams.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the food service industry with responsibility in food safety, training, and development of written materials is required.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in biology, public health, food science, chemistry or a related degree is needed.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of retail food safety principles and regulations is required.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel,
- PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with all
- levels of management.
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute training
- Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and with a focus on continuous improvement
- The position requires an understanding of risk management practices and program management.
