**The Opportunity**:
The **Recreation Aide** role will be serving the community in **Diamonds Spring Lodge in Redwater.** The Recreation Aide is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with an elevated level of focus in time management. We are looking for a caring professional, with strong leadership skills to guide our dynamic team who provide hospitality and wellness services within our supportive living community.
**The Town of Redwater** offers picturesque surroundings and a rural environment, all within commuting distance (1 hour) to the major urban centre of Edmonton. Despite its smaller size, Redwater uncharacteristically offers all the amenities available in a large city, such as a hospital, emergency medical services, a fire department, RCMP detachment, and K-12 schools, all reasons why the Redwater community continues to be a big draw for both businesses and young families.

We are looking for a Daytime 0.625 FTE (25 hours/week)_**

- Personify the vision, objectives, and guiding philosophy of Connecting Care, in your daily activities
- A strong personal commitment to Person Directed Care approaches
- Familiarity with the Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Domains of Well-Being is preferred
- Strives to attain excellence in Resident, family member and employee care partner satisfaction
- Friendly with a sense of humor and the utmost respect for all persons
- Ensures the performance of recreational services as specified in the Care/Service Plan
- Facilitating and encouraging Resident advocacy
- Responsible for audits and reports, providing and evaluating the delivery of recreational services based on the Resident Care Plan & Service Plan
- Supports the residents in identifying personal leisure barriers
- Follows the Emergency Management Plan, Infection Control protocol, WHMIS, and Health & Safety
- Assisting with daily life and duties within the Community
- Participates in projects and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain appropriate levels of certification
- Someone who embodies patient leadership skills, while exemplifying team player behavioristics
- Professional motivator, coach, and mentor
**Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from**:
- Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required
- CPR / First Aid certification is required
- Experience and/or training in recreational services preferred
