**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and service, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining proper storage of food items.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and proper equipment usage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Participate in team management activities to promote a positive work culture within the kitchen.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food service operations.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.

Pay: $15.47-$25.77 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
