We have a long-term career opportunity for at least one reliable, full-time, experienced General Labourer in our service-orientated manufacturing shop.

As a labourer, you must have a solid background by previously working in an Industrial shop and eager to learn the proper operation of new equipment and processes. We want you to have a positive attitude as you may be the face of our company to our customers. You must be able to work safely and independently, and communicate well with co-workers. You also MUST be open to change as one morning you may be shot-blasting a commercial flatbed and in the afternoon you may be cutting the lawn.

Wages are based on experience; benefits are available after a 3-month probationary period.

Job Requirements:

- at least 1 year, preferably 5 or more years’ experience working in an Industrial shop
- a clean Driver’s abstract
- experience working with heavy equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics beneficial
- welding and torch cutting also beneficial
- comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- flexible work hours (overtime and weekends are sometimes required)
- commitment to safety
- strong decision making, problem solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills
- excellent mechanical aptitude and ability
- positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- must be able to work with mínimal or no supervision
- strong Work ethics with a team player mentality and a positive attitude
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- must be able to lift at least 50 pounds/23 kilograms

Job Duties:

- operate hoisting and lifting equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes
- blasting of equipment, springs, and various parts using blast cabinets, tumbleblasts, and a blast booth
- painting of finished products using a spray gun or manual brushes
- building and yard maintenance
- perform any lock-out procedures and all accident reporting if required
- maintain a tidy, clean, and safe work area in the maintenance shop and at customer’s locations
- assist with various welding, pipe-fitting, rigging, and fabricating duties as necessary
- uniforms and personal protective equipment supplied
- other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We did have daily temperature screenings, and employee COVID-19 questionnaires, and can reenact them. Many of our clients have on-site temperature screenings and their own COVID-19 questionnaires for service calls.
