Hospital Security Guard

Employer: Tone-Gar Security Services Inc. Anticipated Start Date: June 26th, 2025 Terms of Employment: Part-time to Full-time Working Hours: Nights, Weekends, On Call Number of Positions: 2 Reports To: Tone-Gar Regional Managers, Dispatch, Client Manager Probation Period: 90 Days **Salary**: $18.50, hourly, average 24-40 hours a week **Job Requirements** Education: Police Foundations College Diploma; Legal Studies Diploma/Degree; or working experience in the relevant area as equivalent is preferred. Experience: Healthcare Security Guard or working experience in a relevant area as equivalent is preferred. Credentials: Ontario Security Guard License; First Aid CPR Level C. Business Equipment and Computer Applications: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook Specific Skills: Resolve work-related problems; Prepare and submit reports; Coordinate activities with staff nurses and nurse practitioner of Mental Health and Emergency Care units - departments; consistently execute Security Guard protocol and procedure per Post Orders; Do any other duties as assigned by the Manager of Security Services. Work Conditions: Professional environment; Work under pressure; Attention to detail; Personal Suitability: Initiative; Effective interpersonal skills; Flexibility; Team player; Excellent oral communication; Good written communication; Judgment; Reliability; Organized Work Remotely - No **Summary** **Responsibilities** - Monitor and patrol hospital premises to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. - Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to detect and prevent unauthorized activities. - Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing assistance as needed. - Enforce hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor. - Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. - Document incidents and prepare reports for management review.
