**Role and Responsibilities** The Contract Manager reports to the Manager, Contract Management and is responsible for both contract and subcontract management duties related to a large and complex 25-year defence contract. Working in a matrix organization, the Contract Manager will work directly with the Program Leader and other internal stakeholder, some of the responsibilities include: - Act as an integral member of the program team; - Manage both buy-side and sell-side activities; liaising with the client’s Subcontract Management and the subcontractors’ Contract Management teams; - Lead contract negotiations with the client and program subcontractors; - Administer and monitor contract and subcontract performance; - Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Legal Counsel, to provide expert contractual advice, guidance and support to the execution team; - Review all program proposals to client and create/issue flow down RFPs as required; - Ensure all contractual documentation is maintained; - Provide oversight and management of contractual issues arising during program execution; - Identify risk and areas of concern related to the execution of the contract; - Participate in program management reviews; - May provide briefs and presentations to Senior Leadership; - Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures; - Some travel may be required
