**About the Role**

We are looking for a Retail Cashier responsible for providing exceptional customer service during the checkout and transaction process to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. This role is ideal for someone who is keen on developing skills in the retail industry, representing our brand, and protecting company assets and reputation.

**Detailed Responsibilities**
- Customer Service:

- Greet customers on the floor, either upon entering the store, browsing, or checking out
- Review and communicate any store promotions to customers
- Determine customer needs, offer recommendations of products that we may carry, and inform them on store hours and promotions
- Financial Transactions:

- Process all transactions in a timely manner while putting customer satisfaction at the forefront
- Assist with bagging and loading of merchandise when needed
- Adhere to company policies when working with the cash register; be aware of surroundings, common fraud schemes, and use good judgement to request further support from a supervisor when needed
- Store Operations:

- Ensure safe work practices are being followed, including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area
- Support with stocking and restocking
- Identify and relocate misplaced items within the store to their correct locations
- Perform opening and closing duties when needed

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent would be preferred

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 1 year of work or volunteer experience in a customer service role and/or retail environment

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of POS systems

Abilities:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to use good judgement and act with integrity when handling financial transactions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
