**Delivery & Warehouse Team Member Job Description**
**Reports to**: Operations Manager
**Works Daily with**: Garden City Groundskeeping Ltd. + SYNLawn Toronto Artificial Grass
**Delivery & Warehouse Team Member Role**:The Delivery and Warehouse Team Member plays a key role in the company’s organizational logistics, providing support to service crews by maintaining our base of operations, and managing materials. This role also is responsible for pick up and delivery of machinery and supplies. In the winter they will operate snow clearing/ salting equipment or any other position that is needed. As all team members, they ensure our company image is presented to customers and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
**Delivery & Warehouse Team Member Responsibilities**:
- Warehouse materials management and inventory tracking
- Create and ensure accountability for Order of Operations
- Materials/machinery coordination and delivery
- Fleet management and equipment maintenance
- Conduct physical labour as required
- Customer service/management of expectations
- Health and Safety Training and Enforcement
- Motivation and Mentoring of crew members
**The Results We See From Delivery & Warehouse Team Member**:
- Label and manage all inventory for delivery and pick up
- Maintain a clean, stocked and well organized warehouse/yard
- Have full knowledge of inventory, quantities required for minimum stock
- Prepare for jobs in advance of start date - tools, materials etc.
- Ensure pre planning to be ready and foresee funnel issues
- Keep current inventory reports for submission
- Pick up and delivery to job sites and clients
- Receiving supplies/materials from vendors
- Source best value materials, subcontractors, equipment etc
- Responsible for tracking pick up and delivery slip.
- Ensure safe loading and delivery/ receiving of all materials and equipment
- Ensure trucks etc. are clean and presentable to maintain company image
- Coordinate required repairs for tools and equipment
- Assistance with crews as requested
- Cut turf for delivery
- Ensure all materials and product quality are checked prior to leaving the building for delivery/pick up - ensure all cuts are accurate and top quality
- Understand the details of all contracted services
- Manage and communicate daily activities with crew
- Monthly formal safety review of warehouse, fleet and yard inspections and reporting
- Be a main point of contact for clients
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Train teams and monitor compliance with company policies
- Ensure safe training and operation of all machinery tools and equipment
- Operate water truck and leaf pick up
- Snow clearing and salting
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Assist crews in unloading/loading trucks when they arrive to shop
- Assigned duties as required
**Preferred Qualifications & Skills**:
- 3 - 5 years experience in warehouse management and delivery
- Inventory management experience
- Ability to drive truck and trailer, operate machinery, Skid steers, and tractors
- Unload tractor trailers
- Maintain a clean driver abstract
- G license at a minimum (DZ or AR preferred)
- Engaging and effective communication style with suppliers, clients and team members
- Excellent verbal, written skills (English)
- Knowledge and comfort with MS Office and cloud based, app/desktop
- Experience with LMN software preferred
- Objectively analyze issues and form solutions
- Work effectively and efficiently within a team towards an objective
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs

**Working Conditions**:
This is a full time, year round position. In the summer we run Monday through Friday from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm and may work Saturdays.
**Job Type**:Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
