Server Assistants are a crucial part of the team. As a server assistant, it is your job to assist the servers with our guests needs and table maintenance to ensure an overall personal experience with our guests. Under the supervision of the Front of House management team, as well as the servers, you will oversee and assist in the taking of orders, bringing and clearing of plates, and overall table maintenance.
By adhering to the steps of service you will be able to answer questions, provide recommendations and create a positive guest experience. Server Assistants, as well as the Servers they are assisting are responsible for creating a warm, inviting environment, maintaining a clean service area, and cultivating a memorable dining experience through knowledge, accuracy and efficiency. We seek to exceed expectations. Becoming a Server Assistant is a next step to getting into the service industry, and we will provide you with food and beverage training and an opportunity to develop and grow as a team member.
**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service
- Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items in order to make recommendations
- Ensure accuracy when entering information into the POS system
- Monitor the cleanliness of tables and service stations to ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
- Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies and special occasions
- Complete opening, closing and side-duties efficiently and safely
- Other duties as assigned or required
- Working as a team with the servers and other SA's to ensure everything is running smoothly and efficiently
**Qualifications**:
- High attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and sales ability
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High level of product knowledge
- Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
- Knowledge of OpenTable is an asset.
Additional Information
**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
