Located in the heart of Spryfield, 264 Herring Cove Road, Enginuity is an innovative, creative, and holistic approach to Engineering. The engineering industry is heavily founded on processes and systems geared towards direct problem-solving. Enginuity does this in a creative and consultative manner to address the long-term needs of clients and end-users, to also foster better relationships in the long run.
Our owner, Ben Garvey, started Enginuity in his basement 19 years ago with only one contract. To date, we employ 40+ experts and are quickly growing due to an exceptionally high demand for our services and unique approach. We work with dozens of corporations, inventors, and strategic partners to design, prototype, and manufacture world-class products and processes.

**Job Summary**:
- Participates in critical decisions as a member of the senior management team and builds effective relationships with key management personnel.
- Develop and manage the company’s processes and internal controls for financial reporting.
- Compile complete and accurate financial statements meeting required deadlines.
- Ensure the integrity of all financial data in order to support operational decision making.
- Coordinate activities with external accountants, funding agencies, and insurance service providers as well as company treasury and cash management.
- Oversee and execute accounting activities including daily transactions such as AP, AR, payroll, etc.
- Oversee and execute administrative activities including front of house responsibilities, procurement, and shipping and receiving while controlling spend and building a culture of long-term saving on procurement and supply chain costs.
- Hire, onboard, supervise, train, mentor, coach, support, and develop both Finance and Administration team, including setting of annual performance targets and annual performance reviews.
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate processes, policies and procedures.
**Required Skills**:
- 7+ years experience in progressive financial, accounting, and management responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems, cash management and risk assessment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities leveraging sound attention to detail and strong organization skills.
- Experience in designing and implementing accounting processes, systems, and controls.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required.
- CPA designation in good standing.
**Hours of Operation**:
To the public, we answer questions and attend meetings between 9am -5pm. Our corporate culture values work/life balance and are proud to offer staff the ability to alter their start and end times of their workday. We recognize that not all individuals work most productively during a 9am-5pm schedule, therefore, we are happy to accommodate to your most productive working hours. As long as you complete your 8 hours of work and attend scheduled meetings during core business hours - we support your altered workday.
