This is not just an opportunity to utilize your expertise and experience but an opportunity to see nature in its purest form** **We are seeking a Plumber for our various remote Canadian project locations** **Job Requirements**: MATRIX is looking for an experienced **Journeyperson Plumber** that is team oriented, adaptable, highly motivated, with acute attention for details. You will play a key role at our remote camps by supporting the team to complete construction of a these camps. This position reports to the Team Lead and/or Camp Manager. **This position will be working in various locations at our remote camps both in set-up and maintenance roles. This is a fly-in/fly-out position.** **Responsibilities** - Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines - Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment and distribution system - Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures - Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required - Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor which may include duties and labour outside the trade(s) - Work cooperatively as a member of the Team - Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied - Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task-related duties - Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties - Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company. **Required Knowledge & Experience** - Minimum of 2-3 years working in a construction field/camp position. - **Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal)**: - **Gasfitter "B" ticket**: - HVAC and/or Refrigeration experience or certification is a definite asset to the position - Solid verbal and written communication skills in English. - Ability to work a rotation schedule and a dynamic schedule. - Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. - Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. - Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor. - Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12 hour shift. **Preferred Licensing & Certifications**: - Standard First Aid Certification. - WHIMS Certification. - Previous experience working in remote camp setting. - Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement. **Benefits** Live in camp while on shift - Work and play in some of the most peaceful locations in Canada Salary range $450 - $500 depending on certifications Seasonal day rate position.
