**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- College Diploma in Social Services or equivalent
- Minimum three years working experience in addictions and behavioural counseling
- Experience and knowledge of addictions, including treatment modalities and pharmacology; mental health services; case management
- including assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, aftercare planning and referral; individual and group counseling; and development and delivery of psycho-educational sessions
- Must be able to work in emotionally charged environment at time characterized by high stress
- Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability in community and conflict management
- Experience in delivery of psycho-educational sessions and process groups required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- The successful applicant will be required to work (1) one evening shift each week to conduct a support group and will provide individual support to members as needed
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
