**POSITION OVERVIEW**

We are looking for a Commercial Account Manager who will leverage his or her interpersonal strengths and network to generate new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing clients. Your main objective: to have an impact on the success of entrepreneurs with sales between $0 (start-up) and $2M through our financing solutions and advisory services adapted to their needs. **CHALLENGES TO BE MET**

In a typical week, you would:

- Develop and execute action plans aligned with BDC's objectives to ensure current clients needs are serviced, while also forming relationships with potential new clients to create a pool of business opportunities.
- Meet with entrepreneurs, existing and prospective clients. You'll be identifying and discussing each entrepreneur's business goals in order to identify and support them with BDC financial services and products.
- Analyze, negotiate and present financing proposals while exercising credit judgement
- Be active in the local business community by networking within various associations and chambers of commerce in order to develop business relationships and obtain references that will facilitate new client acquisition

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must self identify as First Nations/Metis/Inuit
- Have a Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in commerce, business administration or an equivalent area of study
- Have an interest in entrepreneurship and business development, with 3 to 5 years of experience in the business world
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong team working skills
