Freight Coordinator

**Overview**

IGI is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Freight Coordinator** to join our team.

The Freight Coordinator will maintain and ensure the accuracy of carrier records, freight rate tables and other Logistics data in internal systems.

Working closely with Customer Service, Sales, Production Planning, Purchasing and other internal groups, as well as with our carrier and terminal partners; the Freight Coordinator will work to ensure the efficient and seamless movement of raw materials and finished goods to all International Group facilities and customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Respond to internal requests for freight rates; request freight rates from our carriers for all domestic modes of transport (bulk truck, dry van, rail) and enter in internal systems.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding shipment status; communicate with our carriers to obtain requested information and/or solve issues.
- Assist internal groups (Customer Service, Production Planning, etc.) with shipment issues in our systems regarding freight rates, carrier assignment, dates, etc.
- Set up and maintain carrier records, freight rate tables, and other Logistics data in internal systems.
- Review freight invoices for accuracy; approve or dispute payment as necessary. Respond to carrier inquiries regarding invoice payment status.
- Review customer complaints assigned to Logistics when forwarded from Quality Assurance.
- Assist and back-up other Logistics team members as required.
- Project work as required.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
