**Yard Worker**:
We are looking for a positive, self motivated and well organized individual to fill an immediate Yard Worker position within our company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Load and unload lumber and building materials from trucks or trailers
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials around the yard
- Assist customers with their lumber and building material needs
- Inspect and maintain lumber and building materials to ensure they are stored properly and free from damage
- Keep the yard clean and organized
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

**Requirements**:

- Physical fitness and manual dexterity, able to lift heavy items and work in outdoor conditions
- Knowledge of lumber yard products and materials, ability to identify and classify wood products would be an asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, hand trucks and other heavy equipment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately measure lumber products
- Strong organizational skills, able to keep the lumber yard clean and organized
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries

Our business hours are Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Lealta recognizes all Statutory Holidays.

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 49 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
