Goodness Me is currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager for our Waterloo Store location.

Your day-to-day

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the running of a well-managed and visually appealing store, with a focus on sales, labour, and waste targets.
- Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, store maintenance, and health and safety compliance.
- Manage the Cashiers and cash office.
- Assist with recruitment for all departments
- Collaborate to ensure the store achieves its financial targets
- Facilitate training and uphold company standards and procedures
- Coach and mentor employees to develop leaders
- Maintain broad product knowledge and ability to increase basket size
- Flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

**What you bring**:

- 3-5 years management experience.
- Experience working in a grocery retailer.
- Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc).
- A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the departments.
- Proven leadership qualities and experience developing and leading team members.
