Located approximately 120 km northwest of Edmonton, École Barrhead Elementary School (BES), is a K-6 school with approximately 640 students offering English and French Immersion.

**The Position**

**Qualifications**

Education and/or experience in the fields of Child & Youth Care, Education, Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, and/or Human Services

A degree/diploma in rehabilitation, child/youth care, psychology, OT aide, or other associated training would be an asset.

Knowledge of positive behavioral strategies

Ability to develop relationships with students built on rapport and mutual respect

Conflict Management and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults

Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), SIVA or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training, Mental Health First Aid, First Aid certification would be an asset
