Looking for an **exceptional Video Editor / Videographer **with a minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience filming and editing weddings, corporate videos and/or documentaries.

You will be part of a small but dynamic film crew which includes a Producer/Director, sometimes a second camera & Sound Recordist producing documentary-style short films that tell the inspiring stories of our students, grads & faculty. You will also cover events like grad and produce short films showcasing our educational facilities and labs.

Working in Adobe Premiere Pro and Da Vinci Resolve, the person we are looking for is a **highly-skilled storyteller and video editor**. (Since much of our previous footage has been edited in Da Vinci Resolve, and you might have to make changes to some of those videos, proficiency in both is important). You are a team player who works well independently with mínimal direction. You will provide your own workstation (computer and software) and workspace for all editing (external hard drives will be provided). You are proficient working with a 4k workflow, multicamera editing, and external audio and are an expert in colour grading, audio sweetening and delivering a high-quality production efficiently and professionally. You will be creating short videos, generally 2 - 10 minutes in length plus shorter social media clips of 15 seconds - 1 minute. Turning assets around quickly is paramount.

Not only are you a highly-skilled editor but you are an equally **skilled cinematographer**. As First camera (and sometimes shooting two cameras for interviews), you not only possess technical expertise but also an exceptional eye for cinematography. You will be provided with all camera equipment which includes two (2) Canon C-70 cameras, one (1) Canon R5 (mostly for B-roll). You should be fully proficient using Canon cameras and working with LUTs, etc

You are an **expert with lighting and setting up shots quickly** and are creative in capturing visually appealing and relevant B-roll. While you are capable of working on high-end productions, you are able to take a documentary-style run and gun approach to filmmaking. You make the right decisions quickly and are a problem-solver who works well under pressure.

While this is a freelance position, it offers the opportunity to work approximately 20 hours per week. Payment is commensurate on experience and ability. We are looking for someone who is interested and able to commit to a consistent long-term relationship (at least 1 year plus). Having your own car is preferred and most of the filming will be in Surrey and surrounding areas. Please include a link to your demo reel and salary expectations in your cover letter.
