The Project Manager is responsible on a day-to-day basis for those aspects of the Boston Pizza system related to new store openings and renovation reopening activities. Duties include monitoring and coordinating the process of construction at new store openings and renovation reopenings, field support work, design input for both new and renovated stores, and other functions relating to activities that are the responsibility of the Construction and Development department.

**What you do**:
**_ New Store Openings_**
- The Project Manager will provide on-site execution of the program for various stages of construction at new store openings. Other duties surrounding new store openings may include franchisee training, equipment and smallwares delivery and installation, store opening calendar of events and on-site set up times, as well as follow up of any deficiencies noted during these phases.
- Works closely with the Operations Department to ensure the smoothest turnover to operations as possible at the new store opening. The Project Manager will act as the senior problem solver on site and work towards achieving a fully functional facility with the least disruptions possible.
**_Renovations_**
- The Project manager will be responsible for performing site visits to assess the current state of a restaurant with a view to renovating to Boston Pizza core standards.
- Produce a scope of work, estimate and sets of plans for a core scope renovation. Organize tender meetings with General contractors. Laisse with franchisees to organize the purchase and delivery of Franchisee supplied materials to site.
- Reconcile project costs, estimated to actual costs. Complete a final assessment and sign off.
**_ Design and Layout_**
- The Project Manager will provide input and feedback into the overall design of new restaurants, keeping efficiency and labour costs in mind.
**_Equipment_**
- Approves shop drawings, supplier procedures and specifications for all custom stainless steel work.
**_Furniture and Signage_**
- Responsible for coordinating the furniture order for both new and renovated stores. Responsible for tendering and qualifying the signage package for both new and renovated stores on behalf of the franchisee. Project Manager will award sign package on approval of franchisee.
**_Field Support Work_**
- Travels to Boston Pizza locations as approved by the Senior Director of National Construction in liaison with the Director of Operations in order to ensure the continuity of in-store operations. Technical support to franchisees in the areas of equipment and systems will be provided as necessary.
- Provides support and advice as needed to the franchisees in the areas of renovations/upgrades and new equipment installations.
- Assists operators in method standardization, staff training, cost and portion control programs and general execution of the Boston Pizza system according to the company manuals, should the need arise.
**_Other_**
- Be responsible for monitoring overall costs to ensure projects stay on budget including reconciling architect fees.
- Maintains and enhances franchisee/corporate office communication with respect to the functions for which he/she is responsible, as well as contributing to the general liaison process.
- Takes on special projects that may be assigned by senior Boston Pizza International management from time to time.
**Who you are**:
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Background in restaurant construction.
- Experience in Operations/Construction/Project Management an asset
- Certificate or Diploma in Construction management an asset.
- Autocad skills are essential
