We are seeking a dedicated Infection Control Practitioner to join our team at multiple sites in Brampton, Canada. This COVID-funded position plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of our patients, staff, and visitors by implementing and overseeing infection control measures.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Conduct regular risk assessments and surveillance to identify potential infection risks
- Analyze infection data and prepare reports to guide decision-making and improve practices
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with infection control standards
- Monitor and report on COVID-19 cases, trends, and prevention measures
- Participate in outbreak investigations and implement appropriate control measures
- Stay updated on current infection control guidelines and emerging infectious diseases
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to infection control practices across multiple sites
- Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and visitors on infection control matters

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, microbiology, public health, or a related field
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infection control or a related healthcare field
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, epidemiology, and infectious diseases
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of infection control metrics
- Excellent risk assessment and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
- Ability to develop and deliver educational programs on infection control practices
- Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Experience with electronic health records and infection surveillance software
- Willingness to travel between multiple sites within Brampton
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
