Halifax Seed Company is seeking a marketing professional to join the team and support our e-commerce platforms (retail and commercial) and business-to-business marketing initiatives.

Halifax Seed is Canada’s oldest continuously operating, family run seed business. Specializing in horticulture distribution, Halifax Seed works with customers in the independent lawn and garden, commercial greenhouse growing, and professional turf management spaces. Halifax Seed also operates two retail locations in Halifax, NS & Saint John, NB.

The successful applicant will be team oriented, highly organized, and have experience in graphic design and ecommerce management.

**Duties Include**:

- Ecommerce Website Administration
- Ensuring our retail and commercial sites accurately represent the current catalogue of products with correct descriptions, images, shipping costs and pricing details
- Working with our web development team to ensure a high level of functionality and user experience on both retail and commercial sites
- Identifying methods for streamlining and improving e-commerce processes in collaboration with the larger team
- Work collaboratively with various business units to brainstorm marketing initiatives that will support the company while bringing value to customers
- Content creation for various platforms - e-commerce, e-newsletter, social, print
- Event Coordination for customer training and appreciation days across commercial business segments

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Experience with e-commerce administration & e-newsletter creation
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with marketing and graphic design tools such as Mail Chimp, Adobe Design Suite, Canva
- Syspro EPR experience considered an asset
