**Title**: Owner Operator - Mini van / Cargo van required

**Terms of Employment**: Permanent, Full Time, Day

**Salary**: Remuneration Based on Commission, Mileage or Piece Work Only, Other Benefits, Mileage Paid

**Anticipated Start Date (ASAP)**: As soon as possible

**Location**: Ottawa, Ontario ( 15 vacancy ) Ottawa and surrounding area

**Skill Requirements: Education**: Some high school

**Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)**:
Driver's Licence (Class G )

**Experience**: Experience an asset

**Languages**: Speak English, Read English, Write English

**Weight Handling**: Up to 30 kg (60 lbs)

**Specific Skills**: Pick-up and deliver various items and products, Load and unload goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use maps and other trip planning aids, Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, # of Stops and any other required reports.

**Additional Skills**: Professionalism in customer service, Receive and relay information to central dispatch

**Security and Safety**: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

**Own Tools/Equipment**: Cellular phone, Mini van/Cargo van

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**: Fast-paced environment

**Transportation/Travel Information**: Own vehicle, Valid driver's licence

**Essential Skills**: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning, Usage of a driver scanner.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Vehicle required
- ½ tonne
- ¾ tonne van
- Master Business License
- $2 million coverage for vehicle and liability
- $2 million coverage for general liability
- Cargo insurance in the amount of $25,000
- Class G Driver’s License
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Able to lift a maximum 30 kg.
- Able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Extensive knowledge of Ottawa and area
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be bondable, clean criminal record check and clean driving record check (abstract)

**Salary**: $1,000.00-$1,500.00 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
