The Manager, Operational Sustainability will be the authority on carbon reduction reporting as it relates to energy, refrigeration, waste and recycling, as well as water consumption. The incumbent will be responsible for the collection, consolidation, and assessment of data for all locations, performance reporting internally and externally, and supporting the business on execution of programs and initiatives in these areas. This role will also support the Network team with vendor shop development through the management and execution of LOAs.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Manage and track the following data for the company - electricity, natural gas, diesel, and water consumption; refrigerant loss and recovery; and, waste and recycling in all locations
- Assess and monitor data trends in these areas and help mitigate risk for the business
- Manage and oversee all internal and external reporting requirements
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans for the business to improve waste diversion efforts and water conservation to help deliver on the company’s set goals/targets
- Support the development of strategies and action plans to improve energy efficiency and to help deliver on the company’s set goals/targets
- Manage and oversee all waste audits
- Engage and manage relationships with third-parties, service providers and property managers as it relates to energy, waste and recycling, and refrigeration data compilation and reporting.
- Develop and execute training programs and guidelines for employees to improve results and maintain momentum
- Research and develop new initiatives and programs in these areas to support sustainability strategy
- Achieve or exceed company-wide sustainability targets and ambitions
- Keep abreast of legislation requirements and industry best practices as it relates to energy, waste and recycling, water, and refrigeration
- Cross-functional collaboration for the execution of LOAs associated with Network vendor projects
- Post-secondary degree in Environment Studies or related field.
- 5yrs in position or equivalent function with strong business administrative background.
- Articulate, confident, and effective communication ability with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual French/English considered and asset.
- Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Able to work with deadlines and priorities with continual progress towards desired results.
