**Responsibilities**
- Capable of GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding
- Capable of making precise measurements for fabricating, scoping, and creating a list of required materials
- Capable of safely using shop equipment such as shear, brake, rollers, angle grinder, oxy-acetylene torches, and plasma cutter
- Able to read blueprints, design, layout and fabricate a variety of sheet metal parts
- Work on blow lines, guarding, storage bins, hoppers, receivers, and ductwork
- Work with a variety of materials such as Stainless Steel, mild steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, and Lexan
- Work with the Maintenance Coordinator, other Department SME’s, trades, and operations to drive improvement projects from the concept phase to the implementation on the production floor.
- Provide technical expertise on engineering projects, ensure effective communication and alignment between engineering, trades and operators, and provide additional maintenance support where required.
- Provide coaching and training when required regarding best practices of their trade
- Work collaboratively with other trades and Department SME’s on projects, rebuilds, Autonomous Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Breakdowns and other jobs as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager

**Qualifications**
- ** 308A or 437A**:

- Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of the equipment needed for the job
- Ability to work independently without much supervision
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in tight spaces
- Ability to effectively manage time
