Alberta Innovates is seeking a Shipper & Receiver on a part-time basis (60% of full time) for our Devon location. Under direct supervision, the shipper & receiver is responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming mail, materials, supplies, and products. This position receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition. Other responsibilities include gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used; recording received and shipped items according to established procedures; and unloading, delivering and/or distributing goods to appropriate department promptly. The shipper & receiver liaises with internal and external clients, delivery, and transportation companies to ensure timely in-coming & out-going shipments and deliveries. Other duties as assigned.

The Successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Shipping, receiving and delivering materials throughout the building
Providing mail distribution services and warehouse duties
Operating company vehicles for maintenance, cleaning, and positioning
Liaising internal and external clients, delivery and transportation companies to ensure timely in-coming/out-going shipments and deliveries
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Three years of experience in shipping and receiving
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs, on a consistent basis.
Experience in shipping internationally and shipping dangerous goods
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to follow direction
Computer proficiency
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
