**Job Summary**

We are seeking a designated loaders who will play an essential role within our operations team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of inbound and outbound freight in a cross-dock environment. In order to be successful, you must be adept at loading, unloading and managing your work in a safe, clean and claims-free manner.

You are responsible for loading trailers to maximize trailer capacity while eliminating possibilities of damages to freight. This position is also responsible for ensuring all freight is loaded with the proper paperwork and is routed to the appropriate destination.

**Duties**
- Maximize trailer capacity using dunnage and load bars when required to eliminate damages
- Ensure weight is distributed evenly throughout the trailer. Goal 9,00 lbs. per linear foot
- Ensure freight is routed to the appropriate destination utilizing the systems routing guide
- Assist in offloading trailers, when necessary, safely and efficiently while documenting any discrepancies
- Note exceptions for shipments broken down prior to loading
- Distinguish between different service levels and load accordingly to maintain quality control including heat freight and dangerous goods
- Make sure the freight is coded for the destination you are loading
- Complete load profile with accurate information at the start of the load
- Take pictures of trailer every 10 feet while loading
- Make sure freight is loaded tight and secure to prevent the load from shifting during the linehaul process
- Understand cubing process
- The loading process works in tandem with our offloading process. Therefore, time management is key to managing freight flow
- Housekeeping tasks to sustain warehouse clean and free of debris
- Other duties as assigned by Manager

**Requirements**:

- Valid forklift license with at least two years of experience in an LTL Environment
- Clear criminal background record
- Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve
- Ability to multi-task and be decisive
- Capability to work safely and with mínimal direction
- Professional, reliable work ethic
- Ability to lift freight and other objects
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Works in fast-paced environment within deadlines that are competing and unpredictable. Must handle frequent interruptions and inquiries from team members and management.
- May be required to work flexible and/or extended hours in order to address business needs.

We are hiring for various shifts. Flexibility is a must.
