**About the role**
- As Test and Trials Deputy Cross Product Team Lead for Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program. Daily tasks and responsibilities will center on supporting the Program Team in the execution of the tasks related to Integration & Test of Software and the Combat System in both the Project Definition and Implementation Phases.

**What you bring to the role**
- The T&T Deputy CPT Lead supports the T&T CPT Lead who has overall authority for the Integration and Test (Test and Trials) Program and ultimately verification, validation of performance and acceptance of the delivered combat system.
- Specific responsibilities include:

- Planning:
- Review and provide feedback on Engineering Changes, Change Order Proposals and Specifications applicable to CSC Design.
- Manage and oversee SW integration and test activities both CMS and Aegis Weapon System Support; leading to a SW FAAT
- Coordinate with Vendors as applicable to ensure that the delivered subsystems meet the subsystem requirements and work with SPMs and Vendors to resolve issues identified with Install,

STW and sell-off data:
- Develop metrics, cost account management and staffing plan to support program business rhythm
- Oversee development and delivery of all Test and Trials SDRLs.
- Oversee development and maintenance of a Test Management System (TMS) that tracks customer requirements, Trials and Objective Evidence
- Oversee development of a Land Based and Ship Trials Program that covers off requirements verification at various sites to include ship related Installation Inspections, STW, HAT and SAT

Activities:
- Develop & oversee the budget for all Test and Trials activities as the control account manager
- Provide support to the risk manager by identifying and owning all risks associated with Test and Trials
- Participate and assist Facilities Lead in definition of Land Based Test Capability
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive staffing resource plan to execute all Test and Trials tasks
- Assist the Project Implementation Proposal Team as required to develop PI artefacts and BOE generation

Execution: Resolution management:
- Responsible to the Deputy Program Manager Integration, Training, Sustainment (ITS)
- Position Reports directly to the T&T CPT Lead
- Liaison with Integrated Production Teams (IPTS) and Cross Product Teams (CPTs) to ensure all work products related to test and acceptance are being progressed to meet program

Milestones:
- Provide weekly and monthly status reports at program meetings
- Provide metrics that can be used to report status to senior management and provide data for addressing future issues
- Manage the Test and Trials risks by creating handling plans and other risk mitigation strategies

Reporting:
- Provide detailed reporting on work in progress as it relates to milestones
- Provide real-time feedback to proper authority on significant events, issues or progress to the DPM ITS as appropriate
- Complete all activities required to maintain program business rhythm including financial, technical and programmatic
- Provide clear reporting on problem reports and requirements sell-off status

**Additional skills desired for the role**
- I&T Lead experience in a military program
- Ability to understand and execute requirements defined in engineering specification packages
- Must be a team player with excellent verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to the program
