**About the role**
- Leads Capture efforts to secure new orders and win programs. Work will be focused on the Surface
- Ship and Ship Systems Market Segment of Lockheed Martin Canada but could also include other Integrated Warfare Market Segment business depending on need and work volume. In close coordination with the Market Segment Business Development Lead for Canada, develops Capture strategy for pursuit of opportunities; supports program Position to Win (Pw) efforts, understands competitors and their activities, and identifies teammates. All throughout, maintains ongoing interaction with all key stakeholder functions.- The above includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities undertaken in close coordination with the LM Canada Lead:
- Responsible for all facets of the successful execution of the capture as per the Win Plan policy documents;
- Ensuring the implementation of program capture schedules including funding Gate Reviews;
- Understanding the relationship necessary to balance customer technical requirements while mapping to a Pw strategy based on cost competitiveness;
- Responsible for overseeing material preparation and presentation at Colour Team reviews;
- Overseeing administrative efforts associated with the pursuit (checklist) and open Bid and Proposal charge accounts (B&P Request)
- Ensuring schedules are maintained to support proposal submittal requirements of the customer;
- Monitoring New Business Fund (NBF) spends for any capture and ensuring it stays within budget;
- Providing direction to the Capture Team to ensure continuity of strategy while maintaining overall focus.
**What you bring to the role**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 5 years or more of professional experience OR 10 years of professional experience.
- Experience with defence captures
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office products; in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work well in a virtual environment
- Self-motivated
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Able to multi-task
- Able to prioritize work assignments
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
**Additional skills desired for the role**
- Previous Business Development skills and additional language skills are a plus
