Managing a portfolio of over 4,000,000 sq. ft. within Manitoba, across 45+ retail and commercial sites, we go beyond cleaning buildings—we drive operational success, build strong client relationships, and empower teams. This is a **hands-on leadership** role requiring a mix of strategic oversight, team management, and direct involvement in day-to-day operations. Expect frequent travel within the assigned region, as well as engagement with the night cleaning crew to ensure compliance and performance. Key Responsibilities: Operational & Project Management: - Oversee and project manage a large-scale janitorial portfolio covering over 4,000,000 sq. ft. across 45+ sites, ensuring consistent execution of service standards. - Conduct weekly/monthly quality control inspections using digital auditing tools to monitor performance and compliance. - Implement project planning and scheduling strategies to optimize resources, track subcontractor performance, and ensure operational efficiency. - Manage budget controls, ensuring subcontractor costs align with financial targets set by Domus. - Support business expansion by onboarding and integrating new client contracts into the operational framework. Subcontractor & Team Leadership: - Build and maintain a high-performing network of subcontractors and cleaning teams, ensuring alignment with Domus’ brand and service standards. - Provide mentorship and hands-on training, coaching teams on efficiency, safety compliance, and best practices in cleaning protocols. - Enforce subcontractor compliance with legal and contractual obligations, including security clearances, WCB, business licensing, GST, and liability insurance. - Serve as the primary escalation point for all operational concerns, proactively addressing challenges before they impact service levels. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: - Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key clients, serving as the first point of contact for operations, escalations, and service enhancements. - Conduct regular site visits and performance reviews to proactively address client needs and optimize service delivery. - Deliver data-driven reporting to clients and internal teams, leveraging analytics to enhance efficiency and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Facility & Equipment Management: - Ensure proper maintenance and operation of industrial cleaning equipment, including burnishers, auto scrubbers, and other machinery used across the portfolio. - Maintain a high standard of safety compliance, ensuring all teams adhere to WHMIS regulations and site-specific requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience managing multi-site janitorial contracts (preferably in retail, commercial, or institutional settings). - Project management experience preferred—ability to oversee large-scale operations with multiple moving parts. - Strong leadership & mentorship skills to guide teams, manage subcontractors, and drive operational excellence. - Hands-on expertise with janitorial equipment (burnishers, auto scrubbers, etc.). - Proven problem-solving ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Strong relationship management skills—capable of handling client expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining long-term partnerships. - Proficiency in quality assurance & compliance monitoring, including digital auditing tools for site inspections. - Excellent negotiation & communication skills—ensuring clear expectations with clients, teams, and vendors. **Ready to Elevate Your Career?** **How to Apply** Send Your Resume To Phil Adams Phone Number: 613-741-7722 Fax Number: 613-741-3488
