**Overview**
The Educational Assistant plays a vital role in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience for students. This position involves working closely with children in a classroom setting, providing assistance to both educators and students to foster a positive learning environment. The Educational Assistant will engage with students, particularly those with special needs, and help implement educational activities that promote growth and development.

**Duties**:

- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
- Support students in their learning, providing one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students to encourage participation and understanding.
- Monitor children progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual children needs.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social interactions among children.
- Engage with students who may require special education support or have diverse learning needs.

**Skills**:

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, teachers, and parents.
- Experience in classroom settings, particularly in early childhood education or special education environments.
- Ability to educate and engage children through various teaching methods and activities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team while also being self-motivated.

The Educational Assistant position is essential for creating an enriching educational experience that supports the diverse needs of all learners.

Pay: $21.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

- Monday to Friday

- Brampton, ON L6P 0B1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
