**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with day-to-day operations of the Human Capital (HC) department functions and duties
- Lead and assist with international and domestic recruiting activities (creation of job postings, screening interviews, reference checks, liaise with position supervisor/managers, etc.)
- Support managers in administration/scheduling of regularly occurring HC processes
- Work closely with managers sharing best practices to improve employee engagement, build morale, increase productivity, and retention
- Facilitating new hire orientation and on-boarding requirements
- Support the employee and leadership interpretation of policies and procedures
- Provide guidance on workforce and succession planning
- Participate in HC and organizational meetings and committees
- Attend career events and participate in presentations
- General administration such as data entry, document preparation and distribution, legislative research, etc.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and outside partners
- Participate in ongoing training/education to improve knowledge/skills

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in a Human Resources or relate field (business, commerce, HR, etc.), combination of education/experience may be considered
- 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources related environment
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Employment Standards Act and relevant legislation
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams and/or individuals
- Strong attention to detail, organizational
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be professional and be able to exercise discretion and judgement when handling confidential/sensitive information
- Valid driver’s license, and a willingness to be flexible with hours and travel as needed
